MRIA President Kimberlee Niziol Jonas, Market Research Manager with GlaxoSmithKline Canada in Mississauga, will identify the top challenges facing our industry now and in the foreseeable future, based on Canadian and international perspectives. She’ll highlight the initiatives that MRIA has taken and will be taking to deal with these challenges, to protect and strengthen the industry. And she will address the fundamental “evolutionary adaptation versus radical new direction” question, based on key goals that emerge from the MRIA National Board’s two-day strategic plan development workshop in late October.
ABOUT KIMBERLEE NIZIOL JONAS
Kimberlee Niziol Jonas is MRIA's President for 2011-12.
Kimberlee is Market Research Manager at GlaxoSmithKline Canada in Mississauga, where she lives with her husband and their two sons who are in their early teens.
Her initial entry into the marketing research industry was anything but planned and deliberate. She started out in the product development division at Procter & Gamble, where she was responsible for delivering new product concepts for a particular brand; and also responsible for all marketing research during the development of approved new products.
She loved that early career exposure to research. And the rest, as they say, is history. Kimberlee pursued the marketing research career opportunity that had been put before her – by taking courses and seminars – and she has never looked back. Over the course of her career, Kimberlee has developed significant research expertise in consumer packaged goods; financial services; and pharmaceuticals.
Kimberlee has been a member of MRIA since the Association’s inception, and was previously a member of the Professional Marketing Research Society.
Five years ago, Kimberlee began her leadership experience within MRIA. She first became Vice-Chair of the Qualitative Research Division Board, and then assumed the reins as Chair the next year. That same year of 2008-09, she became the QRD representative director on the MRIA National Board.
Three years ago, she was nominated and appointed as Vice-President of the Association. And in the 2010-11 year, Kimberlee served as President-Elect.
And as President of our Association this year, Kimberlee is bringing her rich life experience and industry knowledge to bear, coupled with a great deal of passion and dynamism, for all of our benefit.
