The Winnipeg 2008 National Conference Committee would like to give you a big Friendly Manitoba welcome to our fine city. Winnipeg is such a culturally diverse and talented city, where there is much to see and do. The conference will be held at the Fairmont Hotel – situated at the historic intersection of Portage and Main. It is an ideal location for walking and seeing the great sites of Winnipeg.

The marketing research industry is changing rapidly. We need to open ourselves to these changes in order to adapt and move forward. Technological changes have created new opportunities for new approaches to information gathering, techniques, and the areas where these techniques can be applied. The Open Skies, Open Minds conference will provide attendees with insights into new approaches to reaching and understanding today’s consumers and trends in public opinions.

The Conference Planning Committee plans to offer a combination of plenary, concurrent, and panel sessions intended to encourage delegates to open their minds to new potentials in the industry, which can provide solid research results.

We are building a stimulating program and exciting social events to appeal to the diverse interests and needs of our MRIA members.

SOME OF THE CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

True to our conference theme, the gala awards dinner will be held in “open skies” at the Western Canadian Aviation Museum in an original aircraft hangar! Enjoy dinner, socializing, great entertainment, and the MRIA’s Excellence in Research Awards ceremony beside several one-of-akind aircrafts, including Canada’s first helicopter, the “flying saucer” Avrocar, military jets, bushplanes, and a commercial aircraft!

Cap off a fantastic conference of learning and sharing information at a true Manitoba Social, celebrating with both food and live entertainment at the Millennium Centre.
