Speed Networking - Not to be confused with speed dating or speed skating
You've heard of speed dating; now replace the romance with the intellect! Meet new prospects and contact industry colleagues with a common interest, while making new friends in a Speed Networking event, created and sponsored by ASDE Survey Sampler, Inc. You will meet one on one, with one person after the other, at shortly timed intervals.
The event is a complimentary opportunity included in the full registration package. However you must indicate your interest / sign up when you register for the conference, since space is limited to 90 participants and it is usually over-subscribed. The speed networking program will take place Sunday May 30th from 5-6 pm. Once you register we ask you not to cancel or arrive late or at the last minute, otherwise persons you are pre-matched with, may find themselves alone. The event will start at 5:00 pm sharp. Plan your flights accordingly!

Welcome Reception

What better way to start of the 2011 MRIA Conference than with tasting some of the best wines that the Okanagan has to offer while looking out over Okanagan Lake and getting a first glimpse at our tradeshow participants! Add to this some friends and colleagues that you haven’t seen for a while and this makes for magic. Kelowna Magic!!
And just in case you didn’t know: Wine tasting is the sensory examination and evaluation of wine. There are five basic steps in tasting wine: color, swirl, smell, taste, and savor. These are also known as the "five S" steps: see, swirl, sniff, sip, savor. During this process, a taster must look for clarity, varietal character, integration, expressiveness, complexity, and connectedness.
So join us for the Welcome Reception and Tradeshow at the 2011 MRIA National Conference in Kelowna at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre from 6:00pm to 9:00pm!

Get French, Funky and Fruity - SOLD OUT!
Even though we may need to work on our French in the Okanagan, once the work is done we’ll have some fun! It’s your own choice to be French, Funky or Fruity! Kraft Foods, a valuable MRIA supporter at Platinum level, is sponsoring a spectacular off-site closing party on Tuesday evening May 31. We’ll have splendid Okanagan wine, incredible food, music and entertainment to keep you moving! Bring your dancing shoes and remember to book a late return (like the following weekend).
