MRIA 2013 AGM Events - Evening Session (Formal AGM) Moved to May 27th
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish to advise you that following consultations with our legal team and to align with the overall objective of good governance for the Association, we are rescheduling the 2013 Annual General Meeting from the evening of Monday, April 8th to the evening of Monday, May 27th to be held at the same location (The Bloor Yorkville Marriott Hotel in Toronto – see details below). This follows the board approval on March 8th to extend the term for sitting members of the national board to the completion of our elections this year. Moving the AGM to this date, whose principal purpose would be to ratify the new board, will facilitate the approval of the newly elected national board positions in advance of the first official face-to-face meeting of the 2013-2014 Board on June 2nd 2013 which will be held in conjunction with our National Conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
All other meetings and events originally planned for April 8th and April 9th will proceed as planned (click here for details) with the exception of the first meeting of the 2013-2014 Board of Directors that was scheduled for April 8 at 1:30-2:15 p.m. which will be cancelled.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to seeing you on April 8th and April 9th for meetings already planned and at the AGM on the evening of May 27th!
