NOTE: This Statement is published in reponse to numerous media and public enquiries that MRIA has received as a result of the recent ruling by the Speaker of the House of Commons (December 13, 2011) concerning an organized telephone campaign survey conducted in the federal riding of Mount Royal.

Monday, December 19, 2011: In recent days, the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) has received a number of complaints of professional misconduct against a Gold Seal-Certified Corporate Research Agency member of MRIA, in relation to a recent ruling by the Speaker of the House of Commons.

Accordingly, MRIA’s Disciplinary Procedures, which constitute an integral appendix to its Code of Conduct and Good Practice, have been initiated in respect of these matters.

NOTE : Cette déclaration est publiée en vue de répondre aux nombreuses demandes d’information des médias et du public que l’ARIM a reçues sur la décision du président de la Chambre des communes (du 13 décembre 2011) concernant un sondage téléphonique effectué dans la circonscription fédérale de Mont-Royal.

Lundi 19 décembre 2011 : Depuis quelques jours, l’Association de la recherche et de l’intelligence marketing (ARIM) a reçu de nombreuses plaintes de mauvaise conduite professionnelle contre une société de recherche membre corporatif de l'ARIM accréditée Sceau d’or, provoquées par une décision récente du président de la Chambre des communes.

Par conséquent, des mesures disciplinaires se rapportant à cette question ont été amorcées par l’ARIM, conformément à une Annexe constituant une partie intégrante de son Code de déontologie et règles de pratique.
