Improving Relationships between Field, Moderator and Buyer

Quality in qualitative fieldwork is a shared goal of field services, qualitative research consultants and end clients.  Despite this common interest in successful projects, the parties involved sometimes work at cross-purposes.  The QRCA Field Committee has several initiatives to help develop clearer communications and best practices.  Among the committee’s recent efforts that Judy Langer, Chair, will discuss are its work to develop a Qualitative Research Registry along the lines of the MRIA’s in the U.S. (with much thanks to the MRIA!), a whitepaper on respondent privacy, and original qualitative studies on fieldwork recruiters’ views concerning respondent cooperation and on social media use in recruiting.  In progress now is a whitepaper on cost estimate items.  Input from the audience on future initiatives will be part of this session.
