Majid Khoury is an independent research strategist that works directly with organizations as an extension of their marketing, advertising, branding, communications and insights teams. Majid has worked in almost every category, ranging from packaged goods, social marketing, financial services, technology, telecommunications, and retail. Majid uses data to help marketers and advertisers tackle rebranding strategies, garner support for issues and causes, optimize media strategies, fine tune messaging and demonstrate ROI on their marketing communications investments.
His career started in the mid-80s at Tandemar Research (now Ipsos ASI) in Montreal and Toronto. He moved to Vancouver in 1992 as Vice President for a local market research firm, Farrell Research. In 1996, he set up his own advertising and branding research and strategies boutique, marketexplorers. The company was a success in the local market and was sold to Ipsos 9 years later. At Ipsos, he held a Senior Vice President position responsible for Ipsos advertising and brand research across Western North America working with major local and global brands. Majid has been independent since 2012.
